If Sam deletes their NEXO account, your shared space keeps working, as long as you're still in it.
- Your shared history stays. Every past expense is still there.
- "Paid by" still shows Sam's name. Sam becomes an offline member in the space, using the name Sam had (or "Former member" if they had no name).
- Balances don't change. Anything Sam owed you, or you owed Sam, still shows. You can still record a settlement with them.
- Past settlements stay in the history, exactly as recorded.
- The space stays. If Sam was the owner, ownership passes to the member who joined the space earliest.
If Sam comes back to NEXO later, anyone in the space can send Sam a personal invite to take the old slot back (see Can I add someone who doesn't have NEXO?).
Sam's personal records, wallets and recurring records are deleted with the account.
