Teach NEXO a few words, and it fills in the category as you type the note.
Set up keywords: go to Settings → Smart detection → Manage keywords, tap Add keyword, and enter:
- a keyword or merchant, e.g. "starbucks"
- the category to assign it to, e.g. Food & dining
- a subcategory, if you like (optional), e.g. Coffee & café
Now when you type a note containing "starbucks" (in any capitals, anywhere in the note), NEXO picks Food & dining → Coffee & café. If two keywords match, the longer one wins, so "grab food" beats "grab".
NEXO starts you off with a few common ones (Jollibee, Grab, Meralco, Netflix…). Change or delete them as you like.
It also learns from you. If no keyword matches but you've used the exact same note before, NEXO picks the category you used most for it.
You're always in charge. Tap a different category any time, and NEXO won't change it back.
Turn it off: Settings → Smart detection → Keyword detection.
Your keywords are saved to your account, so they're still there on a new phone.
